Project Description
The most relevant location for art galleries is Via Margutta, a small street parallel to Via del Babuino, which connects Piazza del Popolo to Piazza di Spagna.
In the fifties it became an exclusive street thanks to the film Vacanze Romane, and famous people like Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina, Anna Magnani and Giorgio de Chirico had their apartments there.
Every autumn this historical street hosts the kermesse “One hundred painters Via Margutta“, where over 100 painters exhibit more than 3.000 paintings.
Other well known streets full of antique stores are Via dei Coronari, Via Giulia and Via dei Banchi Vecchi. They are all quite close to each other, near Piazza Navona and the river Tiber.
