Project Description

Palazzo Rhinoceros

Palazzo Rhinoceros is a new residential arts hub and the new seat of Alda Fendi’s arts foundation. It is a 17th-century palazzo transformed by architect Jean Nouvel into 25 cool residences (The Rooms of Rome) and a performance space. It aspires to make a lasting mark on Rome’s culture.

Since its inception the Fondazione Alda Fendi – Esperimenti has put on free exhibitions and performances, enlisting international talents from the worlds of music, dance, film, theatre, opera and the visual arts. Under the creative direction of Raffaele Curi, it stages provocative theatrical projects in often unorthodox locations, including the Curia (the Roman Senate House), the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Miranda and the Mercato del Pesce degli Ebrei – the ancient Jewish fish market, next to the Circus Maximus.

The rooftop of Palazzo Rhinoceros hosts the Caviar Kaspia restaurant.
