Project Description
EU and non-EU citizens travelling from European Union countries will be provided with the necessary services immediately, free of cost, except for some cases when they will have to pay a ticket, in both public and private structures commissioned by the National Health Service.
Non-EU citizens coming from non-EU countries are given health services, which request relative tariffs.
TRAVEL HEALTH, the Health Service given by the MET in Rome, is also available. It covers all emergencies in order to safeguard tourists’ health, offering urgent medical care, surgical or traumatological operations, diagnostic and laboratory tests or even just simple nursing procedures.
Its call centre offers advice and information regarding the public and private health service in Rome. Tourists can decide to use the public structures recommended by the call centre operators or activate the private service Travel Health.
The call centre is open all day, every day, and your first telephonic consultation with the multilingual operators is free; after that, if necessary, you can activate the home medical service by paying a tariff.
On the phone you will be told the cost of this service straight away, but only from this call centre: +390643236291.
For further information visit the MET and Ministry of Health websites.
